As the Head of People, you’ll be at the forefront of our client’s growth journey. You will lead the charge in building and nurturing a talented and diverse team while fostering a remote-first culture that thrives on collaboration and innovation. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving the company’s ambitious expansion plans and shaping its success.
What you can expect to be getting up to...
- Develop and deliver the People strategy which will continue to evolve and grow as the company scales up
- Set up the operating infrastructure for scaling (eg decision making, communication, OKRs, feedback, systems/platforms)
- Leadership team coaching and ensure collaboration is embedded and strong across the organisation
- Develop a strong employer brand in the marketplace to attract top talent
- Shape the entire employee experience to develop and retain the best talent and develop a best in class globally distributed team
- Gain actionable feedback to measurably improve employee satisfaction
- Seen as a valued contributor to and member of the leadership team
- Built the foundations of talent development
- Manage the challenges of remote working whilst maximising the upside but with a consideration of a transition to hybrid working patterns
To set you up for success, we're looking for the following skills and experience...
- Set up and delivered People strategy from scratch in a high-growth company
- Proven track record of setting both strategy and executing in a lean, agile way. Demonstrable appetite to roll up sleeves and achieve in a focused way, whilst keeping an eye on a bigger vision
- Leave ego at the door and demonstrate the willingness to learn, think outside of the box and take risks
- Demonstrable organisational and operating development experience involving the design and implementation of successful programmes to upskill and develop talent and organisational efficacy while scaling
- Experience of building a remote first and/or internationally distributed team
- Knowing when and how to use data to inform decision making
- Storytelling and communication on the business value created by the People Function
- Demonstrable understanding of embedding strong operating practices, eg OKRs
- Degree and/or CIPD qualification (nice to have)
