This is an exciting opportunity to join a Series C funded Technology scale-up as their Global Head of Talent Acquisition, overseeing a team of 16 Recruiters, rising to 20+ in the next year.

In pursuit of capturing a large share of a 6.8bn EUR market, this ambitious Tech scale-up are seeking a seasoned Talent Acquisition Leader to drive their expansion from 250 to 800+ employees across Europe.

Reporting in to the VP People, the Head of Talent Acquisition will set and drive the hiring strategy. Overseeing a large team, the successful candidate will inherit 2 direct reports (with teams beneath them), rising to 4 this year with the development of specialist employer branding and sourcing teams.

Role Scope:

  • Hire, develop and motivate a great and innovative talent acquisition team with a collaborative and energetic team spirit at the core.
  • Set a high-level strategy and a clear roadmap for the Talent Acquisition team and be able to communicate this strategy to different stakeholders
  • Define clear tactical focus for the TA team, which you monitor and adjust over time, and implement operational prioritization frameworks to adapt quickly
  • Create and assure reliable, fast, and scalable TA processes, always with the end-user in mind (both internal and external)
  • With a business mindset, think big but start small: balance pragmatism and diligence in order to drive business value quickly and sustainably, while using analytics and conceptual frameworks upon which to base your decisions.
  • Know your domain well, be on top of the latest developments in the TA domain and be close to the basics yourself.
  • Foster exchange with external experts, pitch your ideas to external experts and seek feedback, and present your ideas to broader audiences to develop a profile in the market.
  • Full management of the seven digit recruitment budget

About you:

  • You will have recent experience leading a Talent Acquisition team within a growing Technology business of 200+ employees
  • You have demonstrable experience of deepening the relationship between Talent Acquisition and the business
  • You are someone who enjoys working with data and is comfortable being led by the objectivity it brings. You understand that data is an essential key for unlocking decisions and elevating the way businesses enhance the experience of the candidate
  • You demonstrate a high level of critical thinking in solving complex problems within an ever-changing and, sometimes, ambiguous rapid growth business
  • You are a confident and consultative stakeholder manager who can enrol business leaders in your vision in a highly constructive way
  • You are happy to work from Berlin 3 days p/fortnight
