Hawkwood are currently partnering with one of the top quantitative and systematic investment managers, who are looking to hire a HR Generalist in to their London based HR team. They are a technology driven company who are hiring some of the best engineers, physicists, and mathematicians to implement a scientific approach to investing.

With headquarters in London and offices based all around the world, they have a total headcount of c800 employees. The space that they operate in requires them to hire some of the smartest minds from around the world!

The role

This is a HR Generalist role with a wide remit and will afford you the opportunity to be involved with a range of people-related activities. The successful candidate will work on all areas of HR including onboarding, employee benefits, HRIS, relocations, learning and development, policies, and regulations. You will need to be comfortable advising senior leaders and working in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you can expect to be getting involved in the following:

  • Organizing and updating employee information using Workday. Pulling reports from Workday and tracking employee data.
  • Conducting internal audits on core HR processes like background screening reports, right to work checks and GDPR
  • Reviewing and advising on HR policies such as parental leave, travel, flexible working, and the employee handbook.
  • Designing HR processes to streamline their employee experience.
  • Support and driving various HR projects across the business.
  • Running the employee engagement survey, pulse surveys and coming up with new ideas to engage and retain employees.

What we're looking for:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role
  • Confident advising and partnering with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong action-orientated mindset
  • Passion for being in a HR Generalist/People Operations role
  • HR experience in a comparable environment, such as a trading, technology or banking.
  • Bachelor’s degree or other qualification in HR or related field is preferred though not essential.
